Its ME @SistaMidwife!

Floating

Who am I…  I am Nicole Deggins…
an author, an educator, a coach and an advocate.  I am a daughter, a sister, a student and a teacher.  I am a traveler, a dancer, and a novice snowboarder.  I’m a talker and a listener, a friend and a confidant.  I am a dreamer and a believer, a lover of life, a child birth enthusiast, and woman’s advocate.

ONE of my goals has always been to become a more vocal advocate for women who are experiencing the joys of pregnancy and childbirth.  With that in mind, I started my original blog in 2008 and titled it It’s Your birth Right! Through that blog, I shared information, personal opinions and ideas about pregnancy and birth based on my personal/professional experiences. I wanted to help women and their families make INFORMED decisions about their birth experience based on HONEST/ UNBIASED information.  (Okay so I have to admit, I had my biases LOL)

Due to circumstances beyond my control, I was forced to shut down that blog. While I was not initially happy about this reality I was reminded that in birth and in life meconium happens.  And so with that…  I launched THIS blog where I continue to talk about birth.

In addition to pregnancy and birth information I wanted to share some of the lessons, the encouragement, and the inspiration I have received from watching, studying, and participating in birth.  The joys of life and the lessons we can learn when we literally Let Go and Let Birth! I believe and have for a long time that life is for the living and if we get too HUNG up on the little things we would literally HANG ourselves. I know that all things happen for a reason and it’s all in divine order.  So here we are… And so it is.

Subscribe to the blog so you won’t miss a thing!! And don’t forget to follow me on Twitter @SistaMidwife and “Like” my FB Page Sista Midwife Productions

Until next time… In Birth and Love
Nicole
